I know I have not posted in a while and I have something in mind that I think could be useful for large buildings to recover some of the costs of lighting.
LED’s are now all the rage in every kind of lighting situation and can save some serious money. But what about getting more use from that wasted energy and reclaim some of it by using solar cells installed in the lighting fixtures and any other areas where there is available light and collect it for use to add back to the power system to save energy.
Solar cells are getting more cost efficient and also just more efficient in the amount of energy they can reclaim so why not put this new technology to use and use it inside of buildings to reclaim energy and save money?
Just a thought. Why not recycle this wasted light energy and make things more efficient?
